Arun Srivastava, PhD, is George Kitzman Professor of Genetics at the University of Florida. After completing his postdoctoral training at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, and the University of Florida, he was recruited as the Founding Chief of the Division. His research is focused on the development of capsid- and genome-modified NextGen AAV vectors, and gene therapy of hemophilia and muscular dystrophies, and “nuclease-free” genome editing for β-thalassemia and sickle cell disease.
