Biomay is a fully integrated GMP contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) for manufacturing of plasmid DNA (circular or linear), mRNA and recombinant proteins. Biomay´s services include the GMP manufacturing of drug substance, aseptic filling of drug product, process and analytical development, cell banking and de-novo vector design/construction.

In particular, the company has a strong track record in GMP manufacturing of plasmids for AAV packaging (including off-the shelf distribution) and for personalized/patient specific tumor vaccines (neoantigen based). Another strong focus is manufacturing of recombinant nuclease Cas9, which is integral part of CASGEVY, the first market approved CRISPR/gene editing product.

In the field of mRNA, Biomay offers end-to-end services, covering linear template manufacturing, mRNA in-vitro transcription, LNP formulation and comprehensive QC testing. The company´s facilities and systems are inspected by the US FDA. Biomay operates two independent manufacturing sites, both located in Vienna, Austria.
