Czech Centre for Phenogenomics
The Czech Centre for Phenogenomics (CCP), part of the Institute of Molecular Genetics (Prague, CZ), represents one of Europe's foremost infrastructures dedicated to the functional analysis of genes through genetically modified mouse models.
CCP combines state-of-the-art technologies in genome editing, transgenic model production, and high-throughput phenotyping to unravel the genetic mechanisms underlying human diseases, with particular emphasis on rare and complex conditions.
A distinctive feature of CCP is its integrated approach: the centre not only generates custom mouse models via genome editing tools but also performs comprehensive phenotyping across developmental stages, including embryonic and adult phases. This extensive phenotyping includes molecular, physiological, behavioral, and imaging analyses, providing deep insights into gene functions and disease mechanisms.
CCP's facilities and expert teams enable clients and researchers globally to advance biomedical research, particularly for rare and complex diseases. The centre’s commitment to innovation, quality, and collaborative science makes it a unique hub bridging genetic research and therapy development.
