Orsolya Symmons is the Programme Manager for Health and Biotechnology at the European Innovation Council (EIC), a funding agency of the European Commission. She has more than 15 years of experience in biomedical research, biotechnology and science management, with a PhD in molecular biology from EMBL and the University of Heidelberg, and postdoctoral research in France and the USA, alongside research experience in Hungary and the UK. She later moved into research management at the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing and co-founded a successful Hungarian biotech company.
