Prof. Dirk Busch is the director of the Institute for Medical Microbiology, Immunology and Hygiene at the Technical University of Munich. He studies infection immunology with the goal of identifying therapeutically explorable defense mechanisms. His work centers on antigen-specific T cells and the development of new technologies to use these cells for diagnostic and cell therapy applications to treat infections, cancer and autoimmune diseases.
