Marianne Carlon is an assistant professor in the BREATHE Laboratory, KU Leuven, and co-PI of the Leuven Viral Vector Core. Her current research interests include the development of genetic therapies for cystic fibrosis, including base and prime editing. Her research group employs innovative in vitro and ex vivo models for translational testing of such precision medicine strategies, including ex vivo lung perfusion (EVLP) models to support translational gene delivery and editing studies.
