Caroline Demangel
Institut Pasteur, Paris
Caroline Demangel earned a PhD in cell biotechnology from AgroParisTech. After postdoctoral work at Institut Pasteur, she joined the Centenary Institute in Sydney to develop dendritic cell–targeted tuberculosis subunit vaccines. She later returned to Institut Pasteur to study immunomodulation by mycobacterial pathogens. Since 2011, she has directed a research unit in the Immunology Department, investigating mycobacteria–immune system interactions to identify immunomodulatory molecules and host-based strategies to control mycobacterial infections.
