Janka Mátrai is a scientific project adviser at the European Research Council (ERC). She manages ERC’s Advanced Grant and Synergy Calls and coordinates the Widening European Participation programme. She holds a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Leuven. She conducted research in Molecular Modelling and Drug Design, Gene and Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine at the Flanders Institute for Biotechnology (VIB). She is a cofounder ofthe Belgian Club of Hungarian Scientists.
