Ellen Reisinger

ENT Clinic, Tübingen

Ellen Reisinger studied Biochemistry in Tübingen, did her doctorate in 
Freiburg and moved to Göttingen (all Germany) for a postdoc and group 
leader position. For more than 20 years, she studies molecular and 
physiological mechanisms of the inner ear, with particular focus on 
the role of otoferlin in synaptic transmission. Since 2020, she holds 
a Heisenberg Professorship for Gene Therapy for Hearing Loss and 
Deafness at the ENT Clinic in Tübingen.
