Fabio Rosa
Asgard Therapeutics
Fábio Rosa holds a PhD in Biomedicine from Lund University (Sweden) and the University of Coimbra (Portugal). He pioneered direct cellular reprogramming to generate dendritic cells from unrelated cell types, demonstrating for the first time that cancer cells can be reprogrammed in vivo to acquire antigen-presenting function and trigger systemic antitumor immunity. He co-founded Asgard Therapeutics, where he serves as VP, Head of Research, leading the pre-clinical validation of AT-108, a first-in-class in situ gene therapy for tumor-to–dendritic cell reprogramming, and exploratory viral and non-viral programs to expand the therapeutic reach of in situ immune cell reprogramming. His research has been supported by several EIC programs, including EIC Pathfinder (RESYNC) and EIC Transition (Repro-TIL), building on earlier H2020 support (TrojanDC) that helped establish Asgard's founding technology.
